Panama City

Panama City is located in the Florida panhandle and has a current population of approximately 34,000 and is well known as a spring break destination.  As of December, 2024 the median home sale price was $309,000. The projected home value for Panama City in 2033 is $470,979

Pensacola

Pensacola is a city located in the Florida panhandle and has a population of approximately 53,000. Pensacola is the western most city in the Florida panhandle. As of December, 2024 the median home sale price was $280,000. The projected home value for Pensacola in 2033 is $422,415

Lakeland

Lakeland is a city located inland in Florida between Tampa and Orlando with a population of approximately 120,000. As the name implies, there are many lakes including 38 named lakes and a number of other unnamed bodies of water. As of December 2024, the median sale price was $313,000. The projected home value for Lakeland in 2033 is $403,991.

Some of the larger and more well known areas in Polk County are cities such as Lakeland and Winter Haven. Winter Haven in particular has become a hot spot for snowbirds and retirees with a high number of 55+ communities. Winter Haven, located between the two major cities of Orlando and Tampa has one of the more affordable price points in Florida. As per April 2024, Zillow reports reveal a median home sale price of just $280,000, which is well below Florida’s average sale price.
