Lake Placid
Lake Placid is known as “ The Town of Murals “ and is home to the Lake Placid Mural Society as well as almost 50 murals. Murals are increasing in number throughout the state of Florida in both small towns and larger cities and can be seen as an interesting way of beautifying a town or city while telling its stories at the same time. In many cases, local artists are encouraged to produce visually appealing and often bright works of art. Murals and other forms of art can enhance and enrich the cultural dynamics of an area.
Below are some examples of murals found in different places around Florida:
Cocoa Beach, Florida
Arcadia, Florida
Fort Pierce, Florida
Gainesville, Florida
Jacksonville, Florida
Okeechobee, Florida
