Palm Beach is a town located in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is situated on a barrier island in the Atlantic Ocean, separated from the mainland by the Intracoastal Waterway. Fun facts: The coconut palm tree is not native to Florida. In 1878 a ship travelling from Havana to Spain with a cargo of coconuts got shipwrecked. The coconuts were salvaged and planted, where a lush grove of palm trees would later flourish and thus the city was named Palm Beach.
