Barefoot Bay is an unincorporated community, and Micco is a Census Designated Place, both located in Brevard County and part of the Palm Bay – Melbourne – Titusville Metropolitan Area. Both areas are sometimes considered part of the greater Sebastian area in Indian River County.

Barefoot Bay is the largest manufactured home community in the state of Florida, where most residents are retirees and snowbirds. There is a smaller percentage of manufactured homes in Micco.  While there are no HOA fees, it is a Special Recreation District (SRD), meaning there is a one-time fee to join the community. There are rules under the SRD regarding maintenance, pets, rentals, etc.
